OSC Playground

a side project, very early

I'm building a little real-time visual runtime that listens to OSC. The idea is that a music track can carry its own choreography: messages and envelopes placed on the timeline tell a scene exactly what to do and exactly when it happens.

The first experiment is Bird Phone (yes, inspired by and made to be a visual complement to the Subtronics track): a cartoon pigeon at a desk with a telephone, animated entirely by OSC coming off the track. It rings when the sample rings. It screams on the drop. It's dumb and I love it. Here's the first minute of it.

More soon. This page will grow as the thing does.
